Introduction
The SIB Company is one of the oldest stone transformation factory in Bourgogne (France).
It exploits its 5 own quarries which are :
- Bois Doré
- Montmoyen
- Chanceaux
- Hauteroche
- Selongey
They are located in a radius of 60 kilometers around the transformation factory.
In 2002, the Eberhart Company (located in Woustviller- France) bought SIB and reinvested in a powerful and flexible production equipment which permits to be competitive in various products such as: tumbled tiles, honed tiles, pavings, stairs, skirts, custom made and standard.
Even if the speciality of SIB remains the tumbled tiles and pavements of its own quarries, the company works on numerous stones coming from quarries of the neighbourhood and from abroad.
SIB also benefits from the force and the experiment of the Eberhart Head Office in order to spread a wide range of importation stones such as: slates, basalts, marbles, granites, quartzites, etc...
Today 35 people are extracting, cutting, polishing and tumbling the stones in the tradition of the Industry and the Craft industry of the French Stone !
